Q: What does it Cost to Adopt a Kitten from ForestWind Siberians?

A: Pet ForestWind Siberian kittens are only 1500 USD to adopt. 

Q: Do you ever have adult Siberians available? If so, how much do they cost to adopt?  

A: We carefully place our adults in their forever homes. Adoption is only 500 USD. 

Please note: We regret that we are unable to place our adults into any of the following situations: allergy or asthma home; children under 10 years old; other pets; smokers.

Q: Do I have to pay extra to have my Siberian desexed after adoption?

A: No, desexing is included in your adoption cost. All risk of desexing is borne by ForestWind Siberian Cats. Your Siberian kitten or cat will also be vaccinated and microchipped* before leaving ForestWind Siberians - no exceptions.

Please note: *European and Canadian adoptions must provide microchip and implanter.  Your 10 year health contract is validated by your Siberian’s microchip number.

Q: I changed my mind about adopting, can I have my money back?

A: We are regret to disappoint you, but all payments made towards adoption or allergy challenge are non-refundable. You are welcome to delay adoption if your circumstances have changed. Your reservation will “roll forward" until you are ready to adopt.

Q:  I want to pick out my kitten in person, do you allow this?

A:  Absolutely! We welcome our kitten families to our home to select their kitten in person :) 

Q: We are cat allergic / asthmatic, do we have extra adoption requirements?  

A: Yes, allergy or asthma homes have extra adoption requirements, such as passing an allergy challenge, learning about grooming and care steps to reduce reactivity, and securing a Safe Home before bringing your Siberian kitten home.

Q: What is my first adoption step? 

A: Email us at SweetSiberians@aol.com requesting your Adoption Exploration Form. 

Q: If I return the Adoption Exploration Form do I have to adopt with ForestWind Siberians? And, is there any charge to send in the form? 

A: There is no requirement or implied obligation to adopt with us by returning your completed adoption exploration form.  There is no cost to return this form to us. This is an opportunity for you to share your adoption questions and preferences with us.

Q: I can't afford the whole adoption now, may I take my kitten home now, and pay you the balance over time?

A:  We are deeply sorry, but due to having been scammed we are no longer able to send any Siberian home pending payment in full.

Q: Is my adoption contract a legal document?

A:  Yes, your contract is a legal document providing you protections, but also spelling out your adoption responsibilities.

Q:  What are my options for getting my Siberian safely to my home?

A:   You have three options, and sometimes a fourth. First, we ship worldwide. The 375 USD shipping charge is not included in your adoption cost. Shipping outside the Continental USA will be more expensive. Second, we will meet you at no charge at the Buffalo-Niagara airport with your Siberian if you fly in. Third, you are welcome to come to our home to pick up your Siberian. Fourth – occasionally - we are able to secure courier services. If you would like your kitten hand carried to you, please let us know on your adoption form, as there are extra steps to take right away in order to secure your  courier service.

Q: Where do your Siberians live? I’ve heard that some breeders raise their Siberian cats and kittens in barns or even sheds in their backyards.

A: Our Siberians live and play inside our home.  Our Siberians grow up healthy and happy because they are raised in the heart of our family, just as you would want them to be!
