Thursday, November 12, 2009 we had Rossity Sultan's, Cica Stepan's, and ForestWind Wyatt's hearts scanned by a Feline Cardiologist. This veterinary specialist is trained and certified in this field.
While in Springfield, we received many compliments on the boys' super sweet and gentle temperaments, as well as how calmly they lay for their scans.
Scanning the hearts of breeding cats is an important part of ensuring our cats and kittens are healthy.
We also offer a ten year genetic health guarantee for our kittens. It covers death or diease from FIP, HCM, and PKD.
We believe strongly in data collection and communication to ensure your kittens and our lines are as healthy as they can be. To help us do this for you, we request that our kitten families update us annually on their babies health so that we can be sure ForestWind lines are and remain healthy ones.
After the exams, we chatted and the Cardiologist is going to work on setting up a PKD scanning clinic concurrently with the next feline cardiology clinic!
We are looking forward to returning to their next clinic with our girls.
